
Lauren Robbins
Owner/Executive Director/Head Instructor
Lauren is the studio owner, as well as head instructor, and competitive teams coach/choreographer. Lauren was born in Delaware where she graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in 2003. She began her dance training at the age of three studying in places such as Delaware, Philadelphia, and New York. Lauren has over 22 years of dance training, 18 years of cheerleading experience and has been a teacher in the Delaware area for 12 years. Lauren was a competitive dancer for eight years and has won numerous national awards. She teaches Ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical/contemporary, cheerleading, and tumbling. Lauren was a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. During that time she performed at all home games, taught cheer and dance clinics, and had the opportunity to perform in England, Mexico, Florida, and Ohio. Lauren has coached successful competitive dance and cheerleading teams for many years, and started an All*Star cheerleading program in 2005. She has appeared in movies such as “Transformers II” and “Law Abiding Citizen.” Miss Lauren is continuously training and bringing the newest and most up-to-date material to her students. Most recently she attended the Pulse tour teacher convention in NYC and trained under choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Chris Judd, and Laurie Ann Gibson. Miss Lauren's biggest passion is teaching and she plans to continue inspiring, training, and sharing her love for the art of dance to everyone she teaches. She loves her "littles" and feels truly blessed to be able to touch so many children's lives by instilling a love for dance in them. Formerly known as Lauren Sadowski. Mrs. Lauren just welcomed her baby ballerina "Angelina" into the world on July 10th and is loving every moment with her tiny dancer. |

Amy Starr
Assistant Director
Amy is a Delaware native who attended St. Elizabeth High School and Wilmington University. Amy brings 17 years of dance experience and 15 years of cheer experience to EDA. She is trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She has traveled to such places as New York, Michigan, and Florida to perform and has attended various dance conventions all over the country. During her senior year of high school Amy was a co-captain of the Blue*Gold cheerleading team. Amy has been teaching dance and cheerleading for many years. Her biggest passion in dance is ballet and lyrical. Most recently Amy has taken classes at Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia and attended the 2010 NYC Pulse Tour. During the Pulse Tour, Amy was able to take classes with fabulous teachers and choreographers such as Finis Jhung, Tyce Diorio and Mia Michaels; just to name a few! When not being called 'Miss Amy', she is called 'Mommy' by the two loves of her life, Gianna & Vinny. Miss Amy is very proud to have been a part of EDAs first year and is looking forward to seeing all of her dancers grow in the years to come.

Sarah Bloom
Instructor
Sarah is a Long Island native, currently attending the University of Delaware. She is majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. Sarah has been dancing for 17 years, and competing for 10. She is a trained competition dancer, and has won numerous awards regionally and nationally. Sarah has been teaching dance for 7 years, and absolutely loves it. Her specialties include jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, pointe, and hip hop. For the past 3 years, she has been a proud teacher of a nationally ranked competition team. Sarah combines her passion for dance along with her natural ability to teach to make her dance classes a fun and rewarding experience. Sarah is extremely excited to work with EDA this year!

Miss Elisabeth
Instructor
Miss Elisabeth has been dancing since the age of three. This year will be her 6th year teaching with Miss Lauren. Along with being a teacher she also helps at competitions leading and helping other Encore Elite teams. Elisabeth is a strong performer and a natural leader- we couldn’t ask for a teacher with more enthusiasm. She is trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary/lyrical, pointe, and tap. Elisabeth is a competitive dancer who has won both regional and national awards. She was also an all-star cheerleader for three years, and was captain for two. Elisabeth teaches ballet, tap, and hip-hop at EDA. Elisabeth was a part of EDA's 2010 State Champion Hip-Hop team. Her positive personality and dance experience make her a motivating teacher to her students. Elisabeth is loved by all of her students and we are looking forward to another great year with her! |

Miss Brianna
Instructor
Miss Brianna began dancing at age 3 and started cheerleading in High School. Brianna has extensive training in the areas of ballet, tap, jazz, point, lyrical, cheerleading and hip-hop. She is a competitive dancer, and has won numerous awards for her talents in dance. She has performed and competed in places such as Florida, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and her home state of Delaware. Miss Brianna was the captain of the DMA cheerleading squad, and won the MVP award. Brianna has been accepted to the University of Delaware where she will pursue a career in physical therapy. Miss Brianna was a part of EDA's State Championship Hip-Hop team. Brianna will continue teaching at EDA in the future and we are very happy to have such a positive and professional person as a part the EDA family. She is a wonderful role model to our students. |

Miss Halle
Assistant Instructor
Miss Halle has been dancing since she was 6. Halle first started dancing with Miss Amy as her teacher, and has stayed with her over the years, along with training at various other studios. From a very young age Miss Halle has had a strong passion for dance that shines through each time she performs or competes. Halle has won both regional and national awards for dance and is continuing her winning tradition at EDA. She was a part of EDA's State Championship Hip-Hop team in 2010. Miss Halle attended the 2010 NYC Pulse Tour where she trained under various industry leading icons in dance choreography. Miss Halle has studied various styles of dance; however, her favorite is lyrical. She is graceful and confident on stage and pulls the audience in when performing. EDA is proud to have Miss Halle assistant teaching. Her outstanding technique and knowledge of the art of dance definitely benefits all of our students when learning from her. |

Mrs. Laurie
Instructor
Laurie brings 30 years of dance training to EDA. She started dancing when she was 18 months old and, by the age of 7, she joined a local dance company. She studied in classical Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap. During her time there, she was selected to train at the International Ballet Theatre in Philadelphia with the renowned Sasha and Irina Boitsov, as well as Mikhail Korogodsky. Laurie has performed in many productions such as Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker. She’s preformed in several soloist roles including Don Quixote and as the Spring Season in Cinderella. Laurie is an active member of Dance Masters of America, with certification in Ballet and Jazz. She maintains her technique by going to multiple workshops and master classes. She’s attended the Rockette Experience at Radio City Music Hall and Ticket to Broadway workshops. Laurie is a member of the Broadway Dance Center in New York City, NY where she’s studied under various artists in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Locking.
When she isn’t dancing, she spends quality time with her husband Kenny and their two little girls, Maddie and Lexi. It has been Laurie’s life long dream to share her passion of dance through teaching. She teaches with heart and enthusiasm which is shown through her energetic personality. Laurie expresses her creative abilities through dance, which you will see in her choreography as well as in the classroom. She loves to inspire, mentor, and build self-esteem through the art of dance. Laurie is thrilled to call EDA home. |

Miss Sheri
Assistant Instructor
Sheri, a senior at Cab Calloway School of the Arts, has been dancing for fifteen years. She studies dance at Cab and has been there since the sixth grade. Dance has been a passion of hers, especially the adrenaline of competing. She thoroughly enjoyed her KinderDance class last year and can't wait to work with the DE team! :) Sheri has experience with competition dance, since she's been competing herself for eight years. She can't wait for this season and the classes she gets to help with!
